The Village of Palmetto Bay is a very special place for The Cromer Group,  as we all live here with our families. It’s a vibrant community of more than 25,000 residents who enjoy its beautiful surroundings and family-oriented atmosphere. Palmetto Bay is just west of Biscayne Bay, so it offers water-front recreational opportunities like kayaaking, canoeing and fishing with bay access for all to enjoy! Additionally, all our public  annually earned the grade “A” under the State of Florida’s A+ Plan, as well as exceptional private schools.

Village residents enjoy the benefits of an extensive park system composed of six park facilities offering a myriad of opportunities ranging from active to passive, recreation to preservation, ground activities to water recreation, and a soon to be constructed neighborhood library. Its commercial corridor along South Dixie Highway is easily and quickly accessible from any location within Village limits. Restaurants, lodging and markets are a few of the service industries available to our residents and visitors.

We were inc

orporated on September 10, 2002, and extends from S.W. 136th Street, to S.W. 184th Street, expanding west South Dixie Highway, and east to Biscayne Bay.

In our 8 years,  the Village has succeeded in building community character by creating a distinct community identity through the installation of new street signs and completing traffic & beautification projects, improving customer service, and facilitating access to government services, building a better police force, and improving and expanding Village park facilities for the enjoyment of all residents — dubbing us the “Village of Parks.”

The pride and joy of th community is the Coral Reef Park. Under the municipality the park has greatly improved. A dozen different excercise aparatus surround the walking paths, to anti up your excercise options. The tennis courts are fantastic and managed by the Jane Forman Tennis Academy. Both my boths learned to play tennis there! There is a new Cafe at the park offering breakfast, lunch and snacks too! The new bridge is absolutely beautiful! The gazebo and the meditation park are very special places to spend time.

The big event, however, takes place in the Winter of 2011, when the Village celebrates the completion of its new Village Hall, located in the Franjo Triangle — Palmetto Bay’s emerging downtown district.
